A Great Start to 2011

When Jacob and I moved from Massachusetts to California, we knew that Jacob had a secure job that he would start. I didn’t exactly know what I was going to do as far as a job. I knew I still wanted to do BirdSwell, but didn’t know if I should get a full time job, part time job or freelance.

I have had a couple interviews here, but they didn’t work out for different reasons. I have been doing a ton of freelance and consulting work and I have been LOVING IT! Because I have been enjoying freelancing and consulting, I decided to join BNI which is a networking group that gives word of mouth referrals. I figured this would be a great way to meet new people in the area as well.

I have met so many great people in my BNI chapter and excited about the possibilities. I am also excited to utilize and refer the other businesses too.
